dollabin
Speaking of free albums… I recently acquired an album called ‘one more crate…’ by dollabin. It was a random, but fruitful pickup. The album is smooth and soulful, definitely worth more than free 99. The group is the duo of DJ Ian Head, and Verbal Math. The two were introduced to the hip hop scene in 2002 by the emcee known as subtext. They are known for “their mutual habit of putting record digging before eating, sleeping or anything else.” I would come here and tell you all about dollabin, except i know very little. It is ironic the way that their name comes from the “throwaway” records from which most of their samples are taken, and yet, their music is free. It is as if they want only the true “heads” to hear their music. All I know is I got the album, and I am really feeling it, so I want to pass it on to you.
