Pete Philly & Perquisite
Ok I’m back to drop a little more hip hop knowledge on ya. Ever heard hip hop from the Netherlands? probably not. Pete Philly born in Aruba & Netherlands own Perquisite make up one of the best hip hop duo’s in years. Talib Kweli was quoted as saying that they were musically light years ahead of the game. The album is called “Mindstate”. It is 17 tracks of “Mood”, the tracks are titled “Lazy”, “Eager”, “Insomnia”, “Mellow” etc each track coveys its mood through both beat and Lyrics however none of it seems forced or unnatural. This is really a great album and definitely worth checking out. Music like this is always worth your time so please check them out and support some creativity and talent in the industry (while your at it why not pick up the latest Mental mix? haha shameless promotion).
