Dj Jazzy Jeff - The Return of the Magnificent
First off, a massive apology. I have been terribly irresponsible, and have not posted in ages. Sorry. Very Sorry. But… I will start posting regularly again, and on top of that, I will be hitting y’all off with some extra goodies as an apology gift. Those can wait though. Right now, I gotta talk to y’all about a legend.
DJ Jazzy Jeff. Most of y’all probably know him through his involvement with Will Smith, aka the Fresh Prince. Yes, he was the man behind the boards for Will Smith back in the day, and the annoying friend who had a crush on Hillary:

But he is also one of the best hip hop/r&b DJs in the game. And in terms of production, he has continually improved, while still keeping things true to the game. Just last week, he was announced as the newest Okayplayer, which is of course a fantastic honor. He recently released a fantastic album: The Return of the Magnificent, which I whole-heartedly recommend picking up. The guest list for the album is long and far-reaching: Jean Grae, Posdnous, CL Smooth, Kardinal Offishall, Big Daddy Kane, Method Man, Rhymefest, Black Ice and more. It is impressive, and all the guests do him, justice. The album is one of the best I have heard in a while. Here is the podcast promoting the album:
