Numan Crack in the flesh

Boo! Did I startle you? Probably, its been so long since I wrote on here. I’m bad at this. But for now I’m back. I really need my other folk to help me out a bit. Anyways.

We’re not here for long apologies. We’re here for cultural updates. And that’s what I have for you here. I’m here to talk to you about Pterodactyl Tubeways. What? Yeah, its weird. But in a great way. MC Esoteric, of Boston, Massachusets, has brought us this bizzare concept mixtape. This isn’t even his real album, this is the free mixtape he’s giving away with his album. And to be honest, I have not yet heard the album, I was more excited about this. Why? Because this album is made off entirely Gary Numan samples. For those of us not in the know, not up on our 80s new-wave, Gary Numan was the ish.  Numan’s music is synth heavy, and science fiction oriented. And its awesome. You probably have heard his hit single that lives on and on, Cars.

So, you can probably get a feel of the vibe for this one. Crazy, 80s influenced, synth heavy, fun, mostly dancey music. Its great. And as for Esoteric himself, he is great on this album. His style and flow is fast paced, his lyrics are geeky but good. And it matches these beats perfectly. Esoteric is mostly known for his work with 7L, a producer also from Boston (coincidence? I think not).  Esoteric has worked with artists from Jedi Mind Tricks, to WWE star John Cena (don’t knock Cena, he worked with MURS and some other cats too. Plus, he’ll kick your ass). The album really just needs to be listened to, so I’ll drop a few tracks for you:
