Nas - Nigger
I refuse to call this album untitled. And I was really upset and had low expectations for this after I heard that Nasty Nas had backed down on the album name, and the reasons why (ie. stores like wallmart etc. wouldn’t carry an album titled Nigger). Nas has the money, if he really cared about the product following his vision, he could have made it happen. However, album title aside, the album has won me over. Seriously a great listen, and some powerful stuff on there. Nas has some great production from artists like Polow da Don and Stargate, ranging to Mark Ronson and Jay Electronica. Its full of bangers and head bobbers alike.
You probably know that the album has been steadily leaking, and now it’s fully available for free download. Now, I’m not personally against this, but on a professional level, I cannot condone illegal album downloads. But after hearing how Nas felt about it:
