Unreleased Talib Kweli Heat

Two tracks supposedly recorded for Eardrum surfaced on Okayplayer earlier this morning. The first track is called Take it Back and features Marshius Ambrosius of Floetry. Its very good, and would have fit right in on Eardrum.

The second of the tracks is called Gettin’ My Grown Man On, and features Little Brother. This track feels like it would have been a little more at home on a Little Brother album, but its still a great track.

With such notable collaborations and excellent tracks, I wonder if the only reason these were left off was clearance issues. If so, I go on record saying that the music industry is royally screwed up. It really bothers me how often they impede great music from coming out. We need more artists going the independent route. Mini-rant over. Anyways, listen to the tracks, let us know how you feel, join in on the music industry bashing.
