Lol. Great music video, awesome song. XV kills it on the Chromeo beat, and then takes it one step further with the Napoleon Dynamite video. Too funny. I swear I’ve covered XV before, but I can’t seem to find it. So let’s just pretend like I haven’t. Since we’re pretending that I’ve never told you about him, we can also reasonably pretend you’ve never heard of him. Although you very well might have. But not in this post you haven’t. So…
XV is an independent rapper from Kansas (or Planet Squaria, depending on who you ask). He’s somewhere between what one might call a backpack rapper, a hipster rapper, an underground rapper, and pretty much anything in between (I want to go on record, saying that I hate all of these terms). His mixtape The Square in the Circle (and I’ll also go on record and say that I’m a little bit behind on this one), is great, and available for free download here.
Also make sure you check out his myspace to stay up to date on all his news (or keep checking here). He’s supposed to be releasing a new video every week, so I’m going to try to keep up on them, and keep you up on them.
