Great show at the 930 club last night. Like, one of the best show’s I’ve been to in recent memory. While I’ve not listened to much of Hercules’ music, they’re a really fun group. The live show was really energetic, complete with two men on top of the speakers vogueing, several costume changes for the Kim, and plenty of live horns to tide me over until Gnarls took the stage. I don’t have much else to say about them. They put on a great show, and I really enjoyed them a lot.

Then, after a brief period of setting up, Gnarls Barkley took the stage. As always, I remain a giant Danger Mouse stan. I have never been less than enthralled by anything he’s ever put out. And in concert, he just reeks of coolness. He honestly just commands your attention with something as simple as a headbob. And you can tell that he’s the real mastermind behind everything. Dangermouse is amazing.

And Cee Lo. I have come to the conclusion that, although Goodie Mob is great, and Cee Lo is a very talented rapper, that’s not his true calling. Cee Lo Green was born to become a rockstar. He has such awesome crowd interaction, so much energy, and such an aura about him. Its really amazing to see him on stage. Not to mention he is one hell of a singer. His voice is so soulful, and his adlibs fit perfectly. He and the band interact really well, and I’m fairly confident that none of their songs ever sound the same twice.

I love these guys. I hope they keep working together and keep making great music. And I’ve made it officially one of my life’s goals to meet DangerMouse. It must happen.
