Blisspop December 08
What a crazy evening. The lineup was stacked: Will Eastman, Bobby Jae, Blaqstarr, Tittsworth, and Nadastrom. Everyone did their thing, and the crowd loved it. I know I definitely did. We managed to get an interview with Tittsworth that, due to some technical difficulties, might need to be re-done (but the interview went very well, and will be an interesting read whenever it goes up on the site). And we look forward to talking to Matt and Dave (Nadastrom) in the near future, and getting at Blaqstarr for interviews. We were there from soundcheck at 10, and the music didn’t stop once until 4+ in the morning (well, maybe once, but there was a very smooth recovery. technology be damned!). I remember last year about the same time being there for the Tittsworth show with Codebreaker. This one was 10 times as good.
Bobby Jae aka Bob Jong Ill and Ken Lazee opened up with a quick set that really got things going. I can’t say I was there for most of it, because of the whole interview thing, but from what I could hear backstage, it sounded dope, and when I came out, everyone was definitely enjoying themselves. Then came WIll. Will always holds it down… the definition of a hometown hero.
Next to hit the stage were Nadastrom. These guys are incredible, and really know how to work a crowd. And btw, their Pussy EP (which is currently the number one seller on Beatport) is fantastic. Definitely head that way and check it out. But yeah… they really kept everyone moving.
After Nadastrom came Blaqstarr, the king of B-more. After a bit of a choppy start, he had an excellent set laced with some great Baltimore anthems. A great set, and still lots of energy. Which made a perfect transition into Tittsworth, who absolutely cleaned up house. The set was great, a little bit of everything (as his music tends to be), but always managing to keep it grounded in the sheer dancibility and energy. The set was absolutely nuts, and the crowd loved it so much that Nadastrom had to come back out and give him assistance just to keep up. The three of them went at it until the wee hours of the morning. And kept a good portion of the crowd out past 4 AM, a near impossible feat. Overall, the evening was excellent, and I can’t wait to party with these guys again.
Head here for the full photo set.

I remember at one point while you guys were doing the interview, Bobby dropped a Crookers remix (that Don Rimini tune), and all of us in the backstage lounge just stopped talking and went “DAMN!”
Looking forward to the interviews, nice recap and photos!

haha, the bass just shook the room completely.
i dunno if that was better, or when will comes in during the middle of the interview and starts to try and strike up a conversation about getting the hummus or the nachos.

I was on the entourage fame train and used Matt’s and Jesse’s tickets to get one of each.
