This is a post both to promote a wonderful mixtape, and to introduce the newest member of the Vinyl Meltdown Family, EmAy (pronouced just like M A). EmAy is a producer/rapper based in Ontario, Canada who’s got styles for days. His debut mixtape, A.D.D. (Altered Dynamic Dimensions) is a mixtape of remixes and blends of artists ranging from Ludacris, to Buckshot, to Nas, to DOOM, to The Autumns. He has a wide range of styles as a producer, but it’s all tied together by a rawness in the sound. He also has a penchant for experimentation with his sampling, both in sample choice, and in the actual arrangement and use of the samples. He’s definitely a very talented guy. Vinyl Meltdown will be officially presenting his upcoming (as of yet un-named) mixtape with Co$$ and Dex, so keep an eye on the site for more news on that front.
