Machine Drum, takes it back with this one. Cold Pillow was already one of the most popular tracks off of Theophilus’ wildly popular This Charming Mixtape. And now, the crew has gone back in and completely re-worked the track. Machine Drum’s new beat is really nice; a lot more frantic and less smooth and controlled. I love some of the new moments of isolation where you really get a chance to hear Theophilus’ lyrics better. And Jesse’s vocals seem more like a functioning part of the song, and less like just a part of the beat. I love the original still, but there’s something charming about this new version.
