For those who don’t know me that well let me just set the record straight… I think that Danger Mouse is one of the best producers of all time. And I don’t say this lightly… his talent holds its own alongside other musical visionaries such as Quincy Jones, Brian Eno, & Creed Taylor. I’d go as far as to call the man a musical genius with 100% sincerity. So naturally I’m easily excited for new DM production, especially when pairing with someone like The Shins’ James Mercer. After months of eagerly waiting the duo, billed as Broken Bells, has finally released an official single. I’m not going to spoil anything by explaining the sound… all I will say is that this is an incredible track.
