Emancipator is a name a lot of you all might not be familiar with. He’s a hip-hop/trip-hop producer from Portland, Oregon and he happens to be a close affiliate of both Nujabes’ Hydeout Productions and STS9′s 1320 Records. Not bad affiliations to have. He killed it with his 2009 debut, “soon it will be cold enough,” and is looking to recapture that with his upcoming album “safe in the steep cliffs” which is scheduled for a January 19th release.
