About

Founded in 1758 in Osaka, Japan, Vinyl Meltdown Productions is the brainchild of international superstar musicians Judge Mental, and in[di]visible. Some say it is a collection of artists, some say it is a movement, some say it is a way of life. Whatever it is, it came to Washington DC in the 80′s, just as hip hop was beginning to make its rounds. Since then, it has gone on to become a multinational corporation, parent to such companies as Louis Vuitton, Uniqlo, Scion, Google, Enron, and the nation-state of Puerto Rico (yes, in fact, Puerto Rico is secretly a company).** Realizing that they were losing touch of who they truly were, they liquidated all their assets in 2006, to focus on independent music, their true calling. Judge Mental and in[di]visible have assembled a superteam of artists, writers, and all around bad-ass mofos. Now, when not battling the infamous Foot Clan (of Ninja Turtle fame) or the corporate badguys of mainstream media, the good folks at Vinyl Meltdown focus on bringing you the best in music, fashion, and culture.
